A new TG4 series is to tell the story of some of the colourful characters who live and work on one of Ireland’s most barren but beautiful patches - the Erris peninsula.
Spiorad Iorrais, produced by Crossmolina based company GMarsh TV, follows a number of people in the Gaeltacht region as they go about their day-to-day lives to give viewers an insightful look at what life is like on the sparsely populated peninsula on the edge of the wild Atlantic.
Locals featuring in the series include technology designer Cillian Ó Mongáin, solicitor Kathleen Doocey, tour guide Agatha Hurst, farmer Mícheál de Búrca, and B&B operator Hannah Quigley.
Episode one airs on Sunday March 8, at 9.30pm on TG4.
GMarsh TV, founded by Gillian Marsh in 1997 and based just outside Crossmolina, is one of Ireland’s most successful regional production companies.
Some of the company’s former credits include the hugely popular RTÉ series Vets on Call, Five Star, and Milk in the USA.
