One lucky prize bond holder in Mayo scooped €50,000 in last weekend’s draw.
The winning bond was purchased in 2012.
Prize bonds are a State savings product which, instead of paying interest, offers bond holders the chance to win cash prizes every week.
In addition to a €1 million prize on the last Friday of every second month, there are weekly draws where the top prize is €50,000.
