One of Mayo’s leading promoters of the Irish language and culture, Máirtín G Ó Maicín, launched a new book of his writings in the library in Castlebar yesterday (Thursday ) evening.
Lán Dóchais agus Grá is a compilation of some 70 of Mr Ó Maicín’s columns, which have been featuring in The Connaught Telegraph for almost two decades now.
The columns deal with the author’s own personal experiences and reflections, events at home and abroad, local folklore and history, and much more.
