Over 300 delegates have now registered to attend Meet West 2014 and organisers are predicting the event will sell out.
The two-day conference, in the Galway Bay Hotel on Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, is the largest business networking event in the west of Ireland.
Organisers said this week that it has attracted strong interest from businesses across the west of Ireland and further afield, with some of Ireland’s leading companies signed up to attend.
More than 4,000, one-to-one, tailored networking meetings are to be held during the event as well as a wide range of presentations, consultation areas and a networking dinner.
Keynote speakers include Ocean’s Seven Challenge swimmer Steve Redmond, ‘happiness’ doctor Dr. Mark Rowe and top management expert Frank Scott Lennon.
Sheila Byrnes, Meet West project manager, said the structured networking meetings are proving to be a huge selling point for the event.
“Unlike unstructured networking, where people circulate and have chance encounters with possibly suitable contacts, structured networking allows companies to write their own profile, view profiles of companies in advance, and give better and more informed consideration to who they should meet,” she explained.
Delegates attending Meet West 2014 will be able to search the online catalogue of companies attending the conference.
The conference, now in its fourth year, is organised in partnership with local authorities in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon, the local enterprise offices, IDA, Udaras na Gaeltachta and Enterprise Ireland.
Registration for Meet West closes today at 5 pm.
