There is a night of glitz and glamour in store at Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, as the popular Ice Ball returns on December 6.
Organisers of the ball, which raises funds for Mayo Roscommon Hospice, took a break from hosting the event last year but are promising a bigger and better than ever glamorous bash for the return of the ball in 2014 to raise funds for a new 14-bed hospice unit at Knockaphunta, Castlebar.
Development officer with Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, Lorraine Toner, said the organisation will be very shortly submitting its planning application for the unit.
Breaffy House Resort, Mayo County Council, Beverly Hills Fashion, Ireland West Airport Knock, and The Connaught Telegraph, are all supporting the event.
Highlights on the night will include a champagne reception, a five-course gala meal, entertainment by Concord, a Christmas disco, and a raffle with a host of luxury prizes.
The event has been a sell out affair in previous years so early booking is advised.
