Ballina is getting ready to host the biggest fright fest in the west with the Samhain Abhainn seven-day celebration of all things Halloween kicking off on Saturday.
The festival continues until November 1.
Festival organisers are encouraging everyone to visit the north Mayo capital during the festival.
Events include a scary woods walk at Belleek, a mini monsters treasure hunt, Halloween samba, fancy dress, workshops, music, and more.
