The parents of Tommy O’Donnell, a three-year-old boy from Belmullet who suffers with lissencephaly, which means that for his short life he will remain with the physical and mental ability of a five month old baby, have this week said thank you to everyone who has offered them support in recent times.
A statement from Tommy’s parents said: “We Michelle and Dennis O’Donnell and family would sincerely like to thank the communities and people from all over for the support that has been given to our family, with prayers, Masses, cards, events and well wishers. Our heartfelt thanks to go to everyone near and far for their support, the Tommy O’Donnell Trust, Daoine Le Cheile, and everyone who held events for us and contributed so generously. We are touched with all the care and support that has been shown and given to us, we are very thankful and sincerely appreciate it.”
