Paddy Casey in Castlebar this weekend

Finbar Hoban Presents...Paddy Casey live in Castlebar next Saturday night (September 27 ) at Garbo’s party venue, Moneen.

Following on from his hugely successful performance at the recent Westport Music festival, Paddy Casey will play an intimate show in Garbo’s and he will be supported by local singer songwriters Con Murphy and Ronan Ward.

Casey has just released his new single ‘Out of Control’ with female singer songwriter Kim Hayden.

The Dublin singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been a staple on the Irish music scene since his debut album, Amen (So Be It ) was released in 1999.

One of the biggest hits on the album ‘Sweet Suburban Sky’ went on to feature on the soundtrack of the hugely popular US teen drama Dawson’s Creek and the Paddy Casey fan following has continued to grow ever since.

Casey followed up his Amen triumph with a bang in 2003, when he released the multi-platinum album Living, which enjoyed major chart success with hits such as ‘Saints and Sinners’, ‘The Lucky One’, and ‘Want It Can’t Have It’.

Casey has performed nationally and internationally and has also supported some of the biggest bands in the world, including REM and U2.

Casey’s backing band consists of Tim McGrath (drums ), Cion O’Callaghan (percussion ), Fiona Melady (keyboards and backing vocals ), John Colbert (bass and backing vocals ), Andy Coogan (guitar and backing vocals ), and Jonathon O’Halloran (flute and trumpet ).

The Castlebar performance takes place on Saturday September 27.

Tickets cost €12 and are on sale now from Downtown Records and Hogs Heaven in Castlebar.

Tickets on the door on the night cost €15.
