An exhibition which examines the poignant bravery, dignity and resilience of people dealing with serious illness is now open at the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar.
Warriers One in Three is an exhibition by artist Amanda Jane Graham and takes its name from the well-documented statistic that cancer will touch one in three people.
“The exhibition will have the power touch, engage and connect with the collective experience of the audience because it will be tender, uplifting and compelling,” described Ms Graham.
“Through this exhibition the victim becomes the warrior by addressing perceptions of conflicting cultural projections played out through society,” she added.
The Linenhall Gallery is open to the general public from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am to 5.30 pm. Admission is free. The exhibition continues until Saturday, October 11.
