Ireland’s reigning queen of rockabilly, Imelda May, has announced that she will perform at The Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on December 14.
The multi-platinum selling ‘Mayhem’ and ‘Love Tattoo’ artist has garnered much international acclaim since 2009, bringing her own smokey brand of jazz and blues from the back rooms of Dublin pubs to some of the biggest festivals in the world.
The 40-year-old mum-of-one recently enjoyed a number one success in the Irish album charts with her album Tribal.
Tickets for the Castlebar concert, starting at €35, go on sale on Monday September 8.
May is also hitting Irish screens this weekend with the return of The Imelda May Show to RTÉ One on Sunday at 9.30 pm.
The show features chat and live performances from legendary musicians and new acts from Ireland and around the world.
