Carraig Donn’s Westport store has been listed as one of the top 100 retailers in Ireland by the country’s largest industry body, Retail Excellence Ireland.
The awards are the most prestigious of their kind in the retail sector.
Carraig Donn is one of Mayo’s biggest retail success stories, as it now has 32 stores across Ireland, selling Irish and international labels.
Dervla Golden, manager at Carraig Donn’s Westport store, described making the top 100 list as a “massive achievement”.
She outlined why she thinks the store secured a place in the listing.
“We pride ourselves on ensuring the best customer service for our customers, who have been so loyal over the years, and we hope to make them feel special every time they visit one of our stores.”
The Retail Excellence Ireland Awards celebrate the best operators in the world of retail.
There are more than 600 entries to the awards annually.
Carraig Donn is now hoping to progress to the next stage of the awards, which will determine the top 50, and then the top 30, to finally arrive at the overall winner in Ireland.
