Cumann Badoiri Acla has come up with a fundraiser for developing the club with a special emphasis on youth, including special needs youth. The event, which comprises a 10k run and a 5k walk, is meant to embrace all comers, takes place on the Westport Greenway on Saturday, August 30.
Cumann Badoiri Acla has been at the forefront of sailing in the west Mayo area for 20 years, spearheaded by Dr Jerry Cowley. The club has also been involved in building local yawls and keeping the proud yawl tradition alive and well. The run starts at 2pm. The entrance fee is €20 and you can enter on runireland.ie
