This evening, Friday, William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take to the stage in The Sculpture Park in Kiltimagh for a very worthy cause with donations being accepted for Western Care Association. The production is being put on by The Non Prophet Organisation from Claremorris, the group have already put on a performance of the bard’s famous play earlier this year in McMahon Park in Claremorris, and it is hoped that a good crowd will come out to see the performance and donate to Western Care Association which works with people who are living with disability and face many difficult challenges on a daily baisis.
The play portrays the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta. These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors (mechanicals ), who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set.
