Horan keeps faith with same starting team

James Horan has made no changes from the team that defeated Galway in the Connacht final for Sunday's All Ireland quarter-final against Cork.

Horan has kept faith with the same 15 for the meeting with the beaten Munster finalists who beat Sligo in the final round of the qualifiers last weekend in Tullamore.

Ten players survive from Mayo's last meeting with Cork in the championship back in 2011 in Horan's first year in charge of the team, when they dethroned the then All Ireland champions at the same stage of the competition. The survivors from that day are Robert Hennelly, Keith Higgins, Ger Cafferkey, Donal Vaughan, Aidan O'Shea, Seamus O'Shea, Kevin McLoughlin, Alan Dillon, Andy Moran and Cillian O'Connor.

Cork have also named and unchanged team for Sunday's game from the one that started against Sligo last Saturday evening. Brian Cuthbert had made sweeping changes to the side ahead of last weeks game after their Munster final collapse against Kerry.

Gilvarry makes some changes

Mayo minor manager Enda Gilvarry has made a number of changes to his starting 15 from the side that beat Roscommon in the Connacht final in McHale Park. Into the side comes Fionan Duffy and Conor Kilkelly with Stephen Brennan and Conor Byrne dropping the the bench. Gilvarry has also shuffled the pack at the back with Ballagaderreen's Seamus Cunniffe returning to the full back position he maned for last years All Ireland winning team. That move has freed up Barry Duffy to move further out the park and take up a position at centre-half-back.
