A story carried in the Mayo Advertiser last week about Tommy O’Donnell from Belmullet, who was born with a rare brain disorder, struck a chord with one resident of Rockfield, Rathbawn Road, Castlebar.
On reading the story about the major fundraising effort that is underway for Tommy and his family, she contributed €1,000 to the cause.
The committee of the Tommy O’Donnell Trust said they are extremely grateful for the donation and for all of the support they have received so far from all over the county.
