The draws for the Mayo GAA senior, intermediate and junior championship quarter-final and semi-final stages were made in Elverys MacHale Park this week.
In the senior championship Castlebar Mitchels will take on Aghamore and the winners will face who ever wins between Garrymore and Charlestown in the final four. On the other side of the draw Ballaghaderreen play Ballintubber and the winners will square off against whoever comes out of the tie between Breaffy and Knockmore in the semi-final.
In the intermediate championship Mayo Gaels and Belmullet will do battle for the right to face either Hollymount-Carramore or Swinford, while the winners of Kilmaine v The Neale will tangle with the victors from the meeting of Kiltimagh and Ballyhaunis.
In the junior championship, Castlebar Mitchels B will meet Balla, with the winners of that game getting to play-off against either Lahardane or Crossmolina B for a place in the final. The other side of the draw sees, Achill and Louisburgh meet for a shot at either Ardagh or Charlestown B in the semi-final.
The draws for the relegation play-offs were also made during the week in the senior championship, Ballina Stephenites will play Kiltane and Crossmolina will face Westport, the losers in those games will meet each other in the relegation final, with whoever loses that game dropping to intermediate next year.
In the intermediate basement battle Killala face Islandeady on one side with Tourmakeady and Cill Chomain meeting in the other semi-final. The junior relegation play-offs have pitted Kilmeena against Ballina B, and Knockmore B against Ballintubber B. The last eight of the junior and intermediate championships will go ahead next weekend no matter what the outcome is of both the Mayo minor and senior games this weekend, with a round of games in division 1A of the senior league taking place if the Mayo seniors lose on Sunday.
