Tommy Tiernan joins Men’s Shed for a cuppa

One of Ireland’s favourite funnymen, Tommy Tiernan, has become an honorary member of Castlebar Men’s Shed.

The comedian recently performed a string of Mayo dates and he stopped by the Men’s Shed in the county town for a cuppa and a chat to see for himself what the project is all about.

More than 200 Men’s Sheds have now been set-up in Ireland. The sheds are a dedicated space for men of all ages and backgrounds to meet and converse while undertaking a variety of activities.

The main aim of Men’s Sheds is to promote the wellbeing of the participating men.

Resident blacksmith at the Castlebar shed, Tom Kavanagh, presented Tiernan with a handmade, artistic, ironwork poker.
