More than 1,800 teenagers partied, alcohol free, at this year's Band on the Strand in Lacken.
Headline acts at the Foróige organised event included Ballina band Flat Out, Now That's What I Call Live, and DJ Steven Cooper.
Foróige CEO Seán Campbell said the event proved that alcohol does not have to always play a part in the enjoyment of such events.
“Major sporting, art, or music events in Ireland are all too often associated with alcohol or an alcohol brand so it’s great to see that events such as Foróige’s Band on the Strand - which is organised and run by volunteers - take place and be so successful,” he said.
The annual festival is now in its seventh year and is going from strength to strength.
“Activities such as these may help in some small way to change mindsets and perhaps even the Irish drinking culture,” Mr Campbell added.
