Paul Potts, the tenor who shot to prominence in 2007 with his surprise pitch perfect rendition of Puccini's famous ‘Nessun Dorma’ on Britain's Got Talent, has added a Mayo date to his Irish tour.
Potts will perform in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on November 8.
The tenor's story is a real life, rags to riches, rise to fame.
Potts was working in a phone shop in Bridgend in south Wales seven years ago when he auditioned for Britain's Got Talent.
He wowed the judges with his soaring tone and went on to win the show.
His debut album – One Chance – was an international smash-hit and raced to the number one chart position in 13 countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.
A film charting Potts’ extraordinary journey to international stardom, starring James Corden and Julie Walters, has also been released.
Potts performs in the Royal Theatre with Derry soprano Margaret Keys.
