A walk is taking place on Reek Sunday, July 27, to retrace the footsteps of St. Patrick himself on one of Ireland's most ancient pilgrimage routes.
The Tóchar Phádraig Pilgrim Path Walk is a 22-mile trek and walkers are assembling at Ballintubber Abbey at 8.30 am for a brief introduction and registration.
A back-up car will accompany the walkers, carrying lunches and supplying drinking water.
The pilgrim walkers will be bussed back to Ballintubber from Murrisk on completion of the walk.
This is the second last official walk on the Tóchar for the year with the last one taking place on Saturday, August 30.
