The Minister for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring was this week informed by the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan, that €180,000 has been allocated to the Irish Association of Supported Employment over a period of two years. Minister Ring said; “This funding allocation will secure the future of this organisation in Erris for the next two years. Sarah Togher, national co-ordinator of the IASE, and her team have been working extremely hard with people with disabilities to get them in to the workplace and continue to support them. They are also involved in numerous other initiatives.” Ring continued saying; “Cllr Gerry Coyle has made strong representations to me in respect of the IASE and the invaluable work which they carry out. I am delighted that this level of funding has been secured for them today which will enable them to continue to secure employment for people and to carry out the wonderful service which they provide.”
