Ballaghaderreen native John Cooke has won a major international award for his coverage of the tragic case of a homeless man who died on the streets of Ennis last year.
Mr Cooke is head of news and current affairs at Clare FM.
The station was among the winners at the New York Festivals Radio Awards in Manhattan this week.
Their entry ‘Life and Death on the Streets’ featured the plight of Czech man Josef Pavelka who died in May 2013.
