Described as black comedy at its very best, The Lonesome West is coming to the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar.
Martin McDonagh’s classic is presented by production company Beezneez on Monday July 7 at 8 pm.
John McDwyer is directing, as Gerry Farrell, Peter Davey, Margaret Kilcoyne, and Brian Gallagher come together in this tour de force production which rips apart the old Ireland image of comely maidens and leprechauns and introduces us to the mad world of brothers Coleman and Valeen - a world that revolves around important matters such as the ownership of poitín, crisps, and figurines.
The Linenhall is promising “an unmissable night of pure theatre” while Irish Theatre Magazine describes the play as “punchy” and “mischievously satirical”.
