Ireland is famous all over the world for its one hundred thousand welcomes (éad íle áilte ) and now JCI Mayo is on the hunt for Mayo’s Friendliest Business.
Do you know a business that makes you smile every time you use its service? If you do, do not keep it a secret. Support your local business by nominating it for the JCI Mayo Friendly Business Awards competition.
The JCI Mayo Friendly Business Awards seeks to recognise the important role played by small businesses in the continuous development and improvement of the economy and local communities.
The competition aims to award businesses that go the extra mile and provide an outstanding service to customers and the community at large. It is particularly important in this economic environment to highlight businesses that do not allow their standards to slip and continue to provide quality services.
Adrian Corcoran, president of JCI Mayo, encouraged local businesses to get involved in the awards.
“With the current pinch in the economy it is so important for businesses to be able to set themselves apart from their competitors,” he explained. “The businesses who go that little bit further will survive and thrive when the economy picks up.”
The Friendliest Business in Mayo will be judged on the following criteria: customer care, consumer choice, disability access, digital experience, eco-friendliness, and shop layout and design.
These six categories are the foundations of a business that has the customer at the centre of its business.
The closing date for nominations is July 11. More information about the project and the nomination form can be found at: www.jcimayo.ie
To nominate a business, simply fill out the form on www.jcimayo.ie with the details of the business and why you think it should be crowned JCI Ireland’s Friendly Business for 2014.
