Staunton’s Pharmacy launches simple but super new Vichy skincare regime

I was lucky enough recently to be invited by Staunton’s Pharmacy on Main Street in Castlebar to be one of 100 women across Ireland to trial Vichy Laboratories’ latest new product line - Idéalia - ahead of its official nationwide launch, which took place this month.

Altogether, 10 women from Mayo took part in a three-month trial to put Vichy’s new skincare regime to the test.

And I have to say, although I was a little sceptical as to the actual difference the daily skincare regime could make, I can now say I am a convert.

The products are simple but super.

You go to your local Vichy consultant, in my case, Tina McHale at the cosmetics counter in Stauntons.

She then carries out a brief but thorough skin consultation, which takes in your age, skin type, lifestyle and skin concerns before selecting the correct three-step skincare regime from the Idealia product range.

Impressed

I trialled the products for three months and I was really impressed with the results.

I had never really stuck to an actual skincare regime for more than a few days. Instead, I usually mix and match a mild soap with a moisturiser, and swap and change the products I use every month or so, depending on what catches my eye in the cosmetics aisle.

But no more. They say it takes 30 days to make or break a habit and after committing to using this skincare regime for 90 days, I hope I have formed a new lifelong habit.

For my normal to combination skin type, I used the Idealia Pro cleanser, followed by the Idealia Life Serum and the Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream moisturiser.

The cleanser leaves skin squeeky fresh and clean; the serum (my favourite in this product range ) smells absolutely gorgeous and feels great, and the moisturiser is light yet smoothing and softening.

I definitely noticed my skin is clearer and brighter. I am not saying I look 10 years younger or anything but I have seen considerable improvement in skin texture and tone over the three months.

I am also delighted that I have finally got into the habit of taking care of my skin and found some products I will be sticking to for a while.

This month, Staunton’s is celebrating the launch of the new Idéalia range. Customers who purchase two products from the range, one to be a moisturiser, will get a free gift packed with wonderful serum, moisturiser, cleanser, and toning mineral water products.
