Distinguished tenor John MacNally will perform in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on June 22.
The concert will also feature special guests Louise Irvine, soprano, traditional musician and singer Caoimhe Kearins, and barbershop quartet Close ‘n Time.
MacNally is a four-time gold, and twice platinum, record selling artist. He has performed worldwide and has appeared onstage with some of the all-time greats of the entertainment industry, including Bing Crosby, Liberace, Jack Benny and Harry Secombe.
The Dublin-born tenor has entertained countless dignitaries and heads of state from Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco to Emperor Hirohito of Japan.
The concert will feature many songs made famous by Count John McCormack, including ‘Are You Right There Michael’, ‘I Hear You Calling’ and ‘Macushla’, as well as many of MacNally’s own personal favourites, including his very successful hit ‘Mary in the Morning’.
Proceeds from the concert will go towards an amputee prosthetic clinic called Miracles Prosthetics Centre in Mostar, near Medjugorje. The facility helps victims of the 1992 to ‘95 Bosnian conflict and casualities of landmines.
