The search is on for Mayo's Best Young Entrepreneur.
The competition, launched by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO ) Mayo, is open to individuals aged 30 and under and is searching for the county's Best New Idea; Best Start-Up and Best Established Business with a New Add On.
Winners will be eligible for an investment of up to €25,000 in their business and will also win a place in business bootcamp and business mentoring programmes.
Joanne Grehan, CEO of LEO Mayo, said the competition is open to any young person with a business idea whether they are a graduate, an already established entrepreneur or a young entrepreneur or business hopeful living abroad who would like to return home and set up their own business.
County winners will go on to compete at a national level and be in with a chance to win a €50,000 business investment.
“We are running a support clinic at the LEO Mayo offices in Castlebar on Monday, June 16, from 12 to 3 pm to assist anyone who is considering entering the competition,” said Ms Grehan. “We will have experts on hand to assist with explaining the assessment criteria and submission process.”
