An exhibition charting the history of law and order in Ireland is opening in the Museum of Country Life, Turlough, on Saturday (June 14 ).
The exhibition 'Preserving the Peace: Policing on the island of Ireland 1814-2014' commemorates 200 years of law and order through objects relating to policing, crime, prisons and punishment.
According to organisers, the exhibition highlights, amongst other things, “the sometimes uncomfortable reality of Ireland's official past”.
