A Claremorris-born author has published a crime novel about a tiger kidnapping and set the tale of intrigue in his native town.
Red-Handed Angel is the second novel from Colman Rushe, a former pupil of St Colman’s College.
The book describes the tiger kidnapping of a banker’s wife in a south Mayo town, clearly identifiable as Claremorris.
As the subsequent investigation uncovers scandals, secrets and deception, astute readers will identify many familiar landmarks and locations, some of which are named while others are thinly disguised.
