The Irish Heart Foundation, which is celebrating 25 years of its Happy Hearts Appeal, will have volunteers selling happy hearts at shopping centres and supermarkets across Mayo today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday ).
Proceeds from the sale of the €2 hearts will go towards educating and training the public on the life-saving skill of CPR.
Every pin sold during the Happy Hearts appeal will come with a card explaining the hands-only CPR technique.
The Irish Heart Foundation is the national charity fighting heart disease and stroke.
