Following its recent expansion into the US, Westport based company Portwest Ltd, a leading global company specialising in the design and manufacture of high quality workwear, participated at the OTC (Offshore Technology Conference ). The conference took place in Houston, Texas, as part of Enterprise Ireland’s trade mission to Texas led by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton. Portwest recently established a distribution centre and sales office in Louisville, Kentucky, investing $8.4 million in the project. Harry Hughes, managing director, Portwest Ltd, said: “Last month we were delighted to announce the creation of 50 new jobs at our headquarters in Westport as a result of our global expansion. Our presence at the OTC demonstrates our commitment to increasing our export foothold in the US.”
