A student St Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar, has won national recognition for her culinary skills.
Laura Corcoran has been named as a finalist in the Fine Dine at Mine All-Island Schools Cookery Competition 2014.
Laura has now paired up with Bar One in Castlebar her dish, flavours, and presentation ahead of the final cook-off on the May 6 and 7 at St Angela’s College, Sligo.
The competition, organised by the Restaurants Association of Ireland and St Angela’s College, Sligo, provides secondary school students with an opportunity to work with professionals and learn the tricks of the trade.
