Happy snappers are being called to put themselves in the frame to win a photography competition in the build-up to the Féile na Tuaithe festival.
There are two competitions running ahead of the two day celebration of country life festival set for Turlough Park on May 24 nd 25.
The first competition invites people to dress-up in period costume and capture a shot of themselves in front of the model thatched cottage in the grounds of the Museum of Country Life, Turlough.
There are four categories, for best dressed family, and best dressed children under 12, under eight, and under six.
Period costume can be anything from a stylish outfit your grandparents might have sported for a special occasion to day-to-day work or school clothing.
The second competition invites photographers to send in a photo representing the theme ‘Echoes of the Past’.
There are three categories for adult (over 18, ), juvenile (over 12 ), and children (under 12 ).
To enter, send your photo to [email protected] by 12 noon on Wednesday, May 14, with the words ‘Féile Photo Comp’ in the subject line. Include your name, address, contact information, and which category you are entering.
The competition and prizes are sponsored by Angela Campbell from The Kodak Shop, Castlebar.
