Áras Inis Gluaire, the arts centre in Belmullet, has announced a new literary festival for north Mayo with some leading literary figures already secured for the inaugural event.
John Waters, Booker Prize winner John Banville and award winning foreign reporter with The Guardian Ed Vulliamy join a top line-up of writers who will present lectures, readings, workshops and debates.
The Erris Festival of Words takes place from June 6 to 8. The full festival programme is expected to be published soon.
