Murder investigation ‘very much alive’

The investigation into the shooting of Owen Maughan at a Castlebar filling station last December is still “very much alive”, according to Castlebar Superintendent Pat Diskin.

Supt Diskin thanked all members of the public who have come forward since an RTÉ Crime Call programme about the murder was broadcast earlier this month.

“The investigation is still very much alive,” said Supt Diskin. “All new leads are being thoroughly pursued.”
