Seven Mayo SuperValu stores receive Supreme National Hygiene Award

Seven SuperValu stores in Mayo were recently presented with national awards in hygiene at the 2014 SuperValu quality awards ceremony in Killarney. Ryan’s SuperValu Ballyhaunis, Kavanagh’s SuperValu Westport, Castlebar, Kiltimagh, and Claremorris, Sweeney’s SuperValu Achill, and Moloney’s SuperValu Ballina, were all presented with the Supreme Excellence Ireland Quality Award. These leading SuperValu stores completed the SuperValu national hygiene and food safety programme, which is independently audited and identifies and rewards retailers that have performed to a consistently high level over a three-year period. One other store in the Mayo region, Cummins SuperValu Ballinrobe was presented with the Excellence Ireland National Hygiene and Food Safety certificate, which is an independent verification of the highest standards of operational hygiene and food safety in the food sector business.
