A fundraiser for a Ballyglass girl born with an extremely rare brain disorder is taking place on Sunday night (April 20 ) in the Failte Suite at the Welcome Inn Hotel in Castlebar.
Baby Ella was born with Lissencephaly, also known as ‘smooth brain syndrome’. The condition means the folds on the brain do not develop causing severe neurological impairments.
Friends and family of Ella’s parents, Fearghail Connolly and Sarah Malone-Connolly, have come together to organise A Night For Ella, to raise funds to help towards the lifelong care Ella will need.
The night will include a raffle with a host of great prizes and an auction followed by live music from Concord and a DJ.
The fundraiser organisers have set-up a Facebook page called A Night for Ella where people can leave messages, make a donation or sponsor a prize for the auction.
