Idyllic seaside cottage and Swinford pub for next Allsops auction

The latest batch of Mayo properties to go under the hammer at an Allsops Space auction on May 2 include a Swinford pub, an idyllic seaside cottage in Achill, and a tract of land just a few kilometres away from Ireland West Airport Knock.

The auction in the RDS in Ballsbridge, Dublin, will see 191 lots in total for sale.

Quinn’s Bar on Main Street, Swinford, is one of the properties up for grabs.

The public house, a three-storey building which includes a seven-bedroom residential accommodation above the bar, has been given a reserve price of between €80,000 and €85,000.

A vacant office unit at Thomas Street, Castlebar, is also included and could go for between €45,000 and €55,000.

Meanwhile, two plots of land at Barnacogue - 28 acres in total - just four kilometres from Knock airport, has a reserve price of €77,000.

Another 24-acre parcel of land in Belcarra has a reserve price of €75,000.

A small cottage, in the Moyside village of Foxford, has a reserve price of just €20,000 while a four-bedroom holiday cottage with seaviews beside a Blue Flag beach in the popular tourist village of Keel on Achill Island has a reserve price of €70,000.

One of the most recent Allsops Space property sales in Mayo saw a lot of 12 apartments and three houses at Bowgate Court, Ballinrobe, sell for €100,000 while an auction in February saw a Castlebar multi-storey carpark fetch €290,000 and a large retail and office building overlooking Market Square go for more than half a million Euros.
