A Castlebar shop sold the winning ticket for a €15 million Euromillions win two weeks ago.
Members of the winning family were at Lotto HQ on Friday to collect their massive prize.
The lucky €6 Quickpick was sold at Staunton's Costcutter Express, Main Street, Castlebar, for the April 1 draw.
The winners, who do not wish their identity to be known, said they were “delighted and dumbstruck” at having won such a large sum of money.
“We have been playing EuroMillions for a number of years now and have won small prizes, but this win is definitely life-changing’, said a family member.
“Since we realised we are the winners, we’ve been coming to terms with the news, but it’s almost overwhelming. We haven’t made any definite plans as yet. One thing is certain - we intend to make sure that our family’s financial future is secured,” said the family.
Officials from Lotto are in Castlebar this afternoon (Monday ) to meet with staff and management at Staunton's Costcutter and celebrate their lucky sale.
