Mayo CEB partners with Network Mayo to support Women in Business

Mayo County Enterprise Board (CEB ) recently announced a renewed partnership with Network Mayo for 2014.  The announcement was part of an event entitled The Power of a Network, an open evening held by Network Mayo for women in business, employment or start-up businesses in Mayo.  A busy event attended by businesswomen from all parts of the county, it included a welcome by Caroline Gordon, president of Network Mayo, presentations by Joanne Grehan, CEO of Mayo County Enterprise Board and Mary Fehily-Hobbs, Network Ireland president, along with a discussion forum and networking session.

Speaking at the event, Joanne Grehan, Mayo County Enterprise Board CEO, said: “The CEB is proud to support small and micro-enterprises in Mayo and to promote a pro-business environment in the county.  This collaboration with Network Mayo is an ideal opportunity for us to network with and support female entrepreneurs.  The most important message for women in business in Mayo is to come and speak with team at the CEB for advice on available supports for businesses, including one-to-one mentoring, financial supports and training.”

After the event, Caroline Gordon, president of Network Mayo said: “We were delighted with the attendance of members and guests on the night.  Having the Network Ireland national president Mary Fehily-Hobbs at the open evening was a great boost locally and in welcoming new members to the organisation.” Network Mayo’s next monthly event will be on Wednesday, April 30, with Ciara Conlon, productivity coach and author of Chaos to Control, who promises invaluable advice and insight into how to get control of your working life and be more productive.   For more information on Network Mayo and their upcoming events, contact Susan Heffernan at 086 8093965 or email [email protected]
