Wild Atlantic Way heralds great opportunities for north Mayo’s activity operator

Trek West Tours held an open day last week for local travel and tourism businesses in the beautiful outdoor playground that is north Mayo.

An enthusiastic group of industry representatives from Mayo and Sligo participated in a showcase of the range of activities offered by Trek West Tours for the upcoming tourist season.

Events began with a clay pigeon shooting and archery competition on the grounds of Mount Falcon Estate, Ballina, and culminated with 11 kilometre guided coastal walk in the Ballycastle Sralagagh area.

Pat O’Brien of Trek West Tours said: “I'm delighted to see such a healthy turnout from all sectors of the local travel trade for this feel good event.

“With the Wild Atlantic Way on our doorstep, the west coast of Ireland has never had such visibility in overseas tourist markets. It is an ideal opportunity for north Mayo and Trek West to showcase all the activities on offer here for the upcoming tourist season.

“We have everything, from walking and cycling tours to kayaking, surfing, horse riding, and lots more for the avid outdoor adventurer. We look forward to welcoming lots of visitors and locals alike on our tours to discover north Mayo.”

Trek West Tours specialises in organising guided day walks, walking holidays, and activity breaks for groups and individuals in north Mayo and beyond.
