INC60 is a new business network for start-ups focusing on entrepreneurial topics in the west.
It is a fast paced, fun, and thought provoking, 60 minute session for business people.
It was set up by entrepreneurs based at the GMIT Innovation Hub in Castlebar and is kindly sponsored by Lionbridge Technologies.
The inaugural meeting of INC60 took place on Friday March 7. Vincent Breslin from Siansplan spoke of his experiences of Crowdfunding, how they set up, how it is, progressing and his experience with Crowdfunding in general.
The next session will take place on Friday, April 4, in the GMIT Innovation Hub, Castlebar, at 9.30am sharp where Avril Daly and Orla O Leary, both associates from MHC (www.mhc.ie ) will give a brief pre-recorded presentation on ‘The 5 Steps of Employment Law and How to Mitigate Them’.
Avril Daly has worked for five years with Mason Hynes and Curran Employment Law and Benefits Group. She advises employers and employees on all aspects of employment law, relating to both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Ms Daly and Ms O Leary advise on everyday workplace issues including recruitment, working time, redundancy, and termination of the employment contract.
They also advise on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, executive contracts, and service agreements. They will be available to answer questions during the meeting.
During the 60 minute meeting, the audience is grouped to brainstorm the topic and questions will be put together for the speaker who Skypes in live at the end of the meeting.
Maria Staunton, manager at the GMIT Innovation Hub commented: “INC60 is all about creating a new network that can deliver good quality relevant content for start-ups based in the west. Being based in the west does not mean that start-ups cannot gain access to the important information they require. This network is all about delivering that content and making sure the entrepreneurs are involved in the delivery.”
Booking is advisable as places are limited and the sessions are free to attend.
Light refreshments are kindly sponsored by Mayo County Enterprise Board.
