A Sinn Féin councillor has called for work to start on installing a new roundabout at a dangerous junction at the Achill/Ballycroy crossroads in Mulranny.
At the Belmullet Electoral Area meeting this week, Cllr Rose Conway Walsh said is more essential than ever that work is started to design and deliver the roundabout.
“This crossroads has always been dangerous but now with the development of the National Park and the Wild Atlantic Way, the issue needs to be prioritised by the NRA,” she said. ”I have asked Mayo County Council to pursue this with the National Roads Authority as a matter of urgency.”
