A lot of 15 residential units in Ballinrobe has been sold for just under €100,000.
The properties at Bowgate Court were sold by Allsop Space. They had previously gone up for auction but failed to meet their reserve price.
However Allsop Space confirmed this week that the apartments were sold privately following the auction.
The property lot included two two-bedroom houses, six two-bedroom apartments and six one-bedroom apartments.
The Allsop Space auction on February 25 had been their biggest yet. Altogether 149 commercial and residential properties were sold for €29 million.
Robert Hoban, Allsop Space director and auctioneer, said that following the auction they encouraged buyers to express their interest in any unsold properties, such as the Bowgate Court apartments and houses.
“We had a great reaction,” he said. “Typically, unsold properties would feature in a later auction, however this latest development is a positive reflection on the growing strength of the market and the competitive demand for individual properties.”
