Four Mayo community groups have been awarded funding totalling €19,000 under IPB Insurance’s Youth and Community Fund.
The funding is awarded to groups which support local communities, increase community participation, and promote social inclusion through their activities.
Ballina Family Resource Centre, Cliara Development Company, Clare Island, Bellacragher Bay Boat Club, and the Foxford branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland are the Mayo groups set to benefit from the fund.
Nationally, 179 youth and community groups have been awarded funding under the €1 million scheme. Some 2,000 groups applied for the funding.
