A musical quartet from Ballina are hitting all the right notes in a national music competition on the hunt for Ireland’s best cover version song.
Flat Out are one of just five finalists remaining in the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Contest, having beaten off stiff competition from more than 1,000 entries around the country, to make it to the final stage of the contest.
They are performing today (Friday ) in the Sugar Club, Dublin, and their rendition of indie pop hit ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ will be broadcast live to 150,000 listeners of the KC Show on Today FM.
Flat Out stand to pick up a prize fund of €8,000 if their cover version comes out on top.
