The team at O’Connor’s SuperValu in Westport is celebrating after the store won a major award.
It was named Store of the Year in the medium category at the SuperValu Store of the Year 2014 awards ceremony in Killarney.
Noel and Marian Kavanagh collected the award on behalf of the store.
The award winners were independently assessed and adjudicated based on audits which focused on areas like customer care, presentation, fresh food quality, product range, hygiene, and local community involvement.
On receipt of the award, Noel Kavanagh paid tribute to his team and acknowledged their enthusiasm and constant dedication to really make the Mayo store stand out.
“We are delighted that we have been recognised for our efforts, not only by our customers but by our colleagues throughout the SuperValu network,” he said. “Our committed team all strive towards one goal, which is providing the absolute best value, service and range for our customers.
