A Claremorris councillor has called on Mayo County Council to enter into “immediate negotiations” with Iarnrod Eireann to have a dangerous level crossing on the Claremorris/Kiltimagh Road widened and upgraded.
Councillor Richard Finn's motion is on the agenda for Wednesday's meeting of the Claremorris Electoral Area Committee.
In his motion, Cllr Finn said it was a matter of public safety.
