In the Spring League Mick Kilcourse’s team were the winners with a score of 81, Padraig Rice’s side finished in second place with the team led by Frank Starken and Charlie Muldoon taking third and fourth spot last weekend. The gents singles competition was won by John Kelly with a score of 36. The ladies competition was claimed by Patsy Connor with a score of 32pts, while Carmel Connaughton took second spot, thanks to her back nine play, ahead of Ann Gallagher in third place. Fourth place was taken by Bernie Burke.
Claremorris
In the first round of the Spring League, Martin Higgins is out in front thanks to his winning score of 33pts, Eddie Morris finished in second place and Riana Keane was the winner of the ladies competition with a score of 24pts.
Mulranny
Mulranny re-opens this week, after another clean up, and will hold its first competition (14 holes stableford ) of the new season at the weekend.
