Mainlanders and islanders alike are being called on to visit Mayo's largest offshore island and home of pirate queen Grace O'Malley for a charity 10K run on February 22.
Hundreds of participants have taken part in the annual Clare Island Charity 10K over the past two years, raising €16,000 for Cancer Care West.
This year, the run will once again raise funds for the cancer charity.
Sharon Fitzpatrick, fundraising manager with Cancer Care West, said the island run is a “unique experience”.
“We’re sure this year will be no different,” she said. “The whole community gets behind the event and there is no shortage of tea, food or craic on the day.”
